OWNERSHIP

The Little Blue Schoolhouse is owned by Lila Kellar.  It is located in Tahitian Village at 102 Corporate Dr.  The school is licensed for 46 children--infants through age 12.  Outdoor space is divided into 3 separate areas for safety reasons.  The center is inspected and regulated by the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services.  We have to meet all the requirements set forth by the Minimum Standards of Texas.  We are also inspected annually by the Fire Department and the Health Department.

Lila Kellar is a certified director holding a Professional Administrator Credential.  She also has an Associate's Degree in Child Development.  She is a member of the Texas Association of Child Care Administrators and the Texas Licensed Child Care Administrators.  Mrs. Kellar is well trained in CPR and First Aid, as is all of the staff at the center.  The Little Blue Schoolhouse is also an approved vendor for Childcare Management Services and is inspected by them on a regular basis.  In 2002, LBS achieved a Texas Rising Star 4-Star Rating, the highest given by CCMS.
